about

Originally raised in the city of Transcona, Manitoba. Was always fascinated but the tales of cruise nights, girls and cars told of The Devil's Strip, the main drag I walked nearly everyday. Not much has changed there as long as I can remember and in many ways that is comforting. Watch a certain Christmas movie with a famous St. Bernard to get a glimpse.

lyrics

Well there's a little place on the outskirts of town
Where the kids really party man they knock 'em down
Hanging around between Oxford and Bond
Watching all the pretty Brunette's and Blonds
With my might I cried Go, Go, Go
Well there ain't no other place I’d rather go

I'm a cruising the devil's strip
I'm a cruising the devil's strip
If it feels alright
I might stay all night
I got the trains on my left and my girl to my right

The groups mull around to see the jacked up rides
Cats slinging insults and picking sides
If one of those greasers break out in a fight
There's gonna be a hot rod rumble tonight
"Climb it Tarzan" someone yelled with a flip
Just another night on this downtown strip

I'm cruising the devil's strip
I'm cruising the devil's strip
If it feels alright
I might stay all night
Well my baby just left and the train's on my right

They call it God's country don't you know
But there's sinning going 'round here to and 'fro
Hanging B.A. at the pretty chicks
Just so they'll notice, make something stick
The sounds of the trains coming off'a the yards
We'll bring this town down like a deck o' cards

I'm cruising the devil's strip
I'm cruising the devil's strip
If it feels alright
I might stay all night
With trains on my left and the world on my right
